Trapped in Auto Repair Hell

One of life's most exruciating trials has to be the ordeal of car repair. It requires lots of time, lots of patience, and most of all, lots of money. So here I sit, getting the air conditioning repaired -- unfortunately, it's a "must-have" in Texas, so I'm coughing up one G to be cool this summer.

Let's see, what's new?

We're moving the first of June, and the pressure of reality is starting to settle on my shoulders. More to follow.

My diet, or my change in eating habits, is working. I've lost 10 lbs. since January and currently am sitting at 164. The bike side of the equation is still a bit light due to weather, but the miles are starting to add up.

I guess I may be officially off my rocker -- I'm gonna try to learn to play the mandolin. I hope I succeed, but I'd put my chances at about 50/50.

My favorite pastime these days has to be the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero -- a wonderful cigar I've just discovered. We like to enjoy a cigar during our happy hour on Wednesday nights -- there's just something about cigars which relax me, help me be still - even if only for an hour or two. A simple, priceless treasure.
